I released my first solo guitar album of original instrumental songs in 1984.  

Most of those songs were written between 1978 and 1982.  

Now 40 years later (2025), I am releasing this album of all original instrumental songs for solo guitar. The song "The New Starting" is from my 1984 album, but the rest of the songs were composed, played and recorded by me between the early 1990's and the early 2020's. Although I made my living as a musician for over 50 years, it was not, for the most part, by playing these original songs or performing this style of music.  

This style of composing and playing has always been a part of my musical life, but finding gigs for this music was not something I could do. For me, popular styles like "rock" and "blues" always presented a much more achievable path in order to make a living.  

These fifteen pieces represent a cross section taken from the almost 100 solo guitar songs I have recorded over 50 years. All these songs are me playing alone (solo) "live" with no overdubbed parts. -Stan Hirsch - Jan. 2025.
