Man...I love the things a "Strat" can do! Anyhow, these are all just a Stratocaster guitar plugged into a basic amp with a bit of reverb turned on. There is no Multi-tracking or playing over something previously laid down and repeated back. Just a single guitar and guitar amp. (In other words, "live without much equipment".) These basic "strat" type sounds have been around since the mid 50's (When the Stratocaster guitar was invented by Leo Fender in So. Ca. USA), but started really coming more into play with "surf guitar" , "Rockabilly" and then with the "Psychedelic sounds" of the late 60's onward.  

So, just recently after having access to the recent NASA recordings of our solar system sounds( including the the planets and the Sun, of course), and other sounds associated with galactic events I got inspired to record some of the sounds I've been messin' with. (For the 57 yrs. I have owned "Strats".)  

Also, for many years (since our trip to India) I have been interested in the OM sound. I had concluded it to be my lowest voice note played an octave higher on my guitar. Upon hearing the "sound" the Sun makes I freaked out realizing it was that note! (I had purchased an adjustable tuning fork which I set at that frequency many years ago.) So this recording has that sound (made on guitar) in some nice places.  

Also weirdly enough I have been recently been "drawing" a whole bunch of "Cosmic Alien" "Graphic Experimental Music Scores". I am using the Procreate program on an ipad.  

So, to me I'm Thinking "what a strange coming together of ideas"!  

It seemed like making a slideshow video w/ soundtrack would be a cool way of tying them together. Enjoy, Stan
