Lesson #11 & #12 Up The Neck - "Lead guitar" chords
This is an "Old School" way of developing "Lead" or "1st." guitar parts, where you add some cool "High Notes" (up the neck). This is the way I learned back in the days before "Blues and Rock" formal instruction.
If you are playing "lead guitar" in a band setting, you can just go with it. But here, I teach you how to do that while keeping the bottom part going!
"Lead Guitar Chords"
This first lesson takes the basic A7, D7, chords ---moves them all around the neck---plugs them into a 12-bar---off you go!
The first page is a bit involved. I like practicing with just my strumming hand in a percussive manner. But, don't get too hung up on it---just start moving those little high chords around!
(This is lesson #11 in TT&FF)
The "Lead Guitar Chord"
This little chord shape really pulled through for me in the early days. It was really all I knew about "high notes" --and it did it for me!
